eHIP Terms and condition of business

eHIP wishes to bring to the attention of all our customers our terms and condtions of business.

Once an order is placed by the customer, eHIP will collate and deliver a Home Information Pack (HIP) which will contain the following;

1. Hip Index
2. Sales Statement
3. Energy Performance Certificate
4. Title Search
5. Land Search
6. Water and Drainage Search
7. Lease Document (if appropriate)

eHIP will make all reasonable endeavours to deliver the above in an acceptable time frame but would point out that eHIP is in the hands of many third parties and cannot be held responsible for delivery time or information contained within the HIP.

For online and Agent account payment the order will be processed immediately and eHIP will incur costs at this point and a personalised HIP will be commenced, therefore no refund will be made once the order has been placed.

For Agent account, non-direct and non-deferred payment, the payment for the HIP becomes due immediately upon invoice receipt which will normally be within 48 hours of order acknowledgment.

It is the responsibility of the seller to furnish eHIP where applicable with property lease information via fax to eHIP’s nominated offices, which will then be uploaded into the HIP.

Where this information is not received within four working weeks of the date of order, eHIP reserves the right to complete the HIP without the lease information.
In the case of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), where an inspector cannot gain access to the property for survey purposes during four working weeks from the date of order, eHIP reserves the right to close and complete the HIP without an EPC.

With regards to deferred payment, it is the responsibility of the agent to inform the seller that a charge of 12% will be added for the deferred payment on top of the 299+vat.

Cancellation of any Home Information Pack by an Agent/Solicitor or Home Seller will be subject to a £23.50 adminstration charge which will be collected via credit card immediatly after a member of the eHIP team has been notified.

For any Home Information Pack being transferred to a different agent there will be a £50.00 administration charge to the Agent/Solicitor or Home Seller.

The price quoted on the web site does not include the various disbursements which would be pursuant to all sale tranactions.
